Online Resources
San Bernardino Valley College offers a variety of resources for online students.
- An online advisor in Counseling is available to answer questions about majors, courses and requirements. Students can fill out a request form online; replies are given within 3 working days. Students also may call Patty Jones, the designated Counselor for Online Advisement at (909) 384-8975. Or, submit your question here at the Online Advisement Q&A Form!
- Students can email a librarian and look up class schedules at the Library website.
- Online book orders may be done through the Bookstore.
- The college's Tutorial Center provides individual and small group tutoring sessions on campus. Sessions are free for current students in subjects including Biology, Chemistry, English, Math, Psychology and Spanish. Tutoring sessions are done by peers to help students improve their time management and study skills. Sessions may be scheduled online or by calling (909) 384-8566.
- The college's Writing Center offers free online composition tutoring support for students in any discipline and at any skill level. Students may make an appointment via the Writing Center's appointment website to be assisted by a trained composition tutor. Students can submit their assignments or questions to the composition tutor to be reviewed by email or to be assisted via phone or Zoom. Assignments are reviewed Monday through Saturday and each tutoring seession typically lasts half an hour up to an hour. For more information, call (909) 384-4464.
