Create a Student Club
Steps to Start a New Club at SBVC
All clubs must have a minimum of five (5) members. Organizational members must be
comprised solely of currently enrolled San Bernardino Valley College students. Non-students
may participate in club activities as guests, but may not vote, hold office, or pay
dues.
Student organizations must have a minimum of one (1) faculty advisor (full-time
or adjunct) who will advise the organization on college rules and regulations, attend
organization meetings, supervise the organization’s financial transactions, and give
general guidance to the organization.
All clubs must have an official constitution on file with the Office of Student
Life that has been approved by The ASG. A sample constitution is provided in the student
organization registration packet.
- Submit your club packet signed by club officers and advisor(s) to the Office of Student Life either in-person or via email.
Club officers and advisor(s) will receive a link to complete mandatory club orientation
online.
Upon completion of registration packet and club orientation, the ASG Student Senate
will add the club to their agenda for approval.
- Once approved by ASG Student Senate, the club is added to the Club Directory and eligible to conduct official business!
- New clubs are forwarded to Administrative Services to receive a club account number maintained through the Campus Business Office.
- To maintain active status, clubs must send at least one (1) representative to weekly Inter-Club Council meetings.
