Testing Accommodations
Spring 2025 Testing Accommodations Procedures
Students are responsible for notifying their instructors about their testing accommodations.
For Canvas exams or other course exams requiring proctoring, the student must email
sbvcsastest@valleycollege.edu and CC'd the instructor at least three (3) business days before the test date.
The email needs to include the following information:

- Student's Full Name
- Student ID Number
- Contact Phone Number
- Course Title
- Instructor's Name
- Test Date and Time
- Specific Testing Accommodations Needed (e.g., assistive technology, scribe)
SAS Test Proctoring will confirm the student's email has been received and then
contact the instructor to:
- Confirm the requested date/time and to gather exam details:
- Test duration as scheduled in class.
- Permitted exam resources (e.g., open book, notes, calculator)
- Delivery and Return Instructions:
- Delivery options for physical exams: email to sbvcsastest@valleycollege.edu or deliver to ADSS 105.
- Return options include campus mail, scanned email to the professor, or professor pickup.
- For online exams, email any instructions or passwords required to sbvcsastest@valleycollege.edu.
For Canvas exams that do not require a proctor there is no need to schedule with
SAS. Students are responsible for notifying their instructors about their testing
accommodations. Instructors will extend the allotted time in accordance with the student's
Recommended Academic Adjustments, Auxiliary Aids, and Services (RAAAAS).
