Summerfest Collage

(June 27, 2024) San Bernardino, Calif. - Summer plans are in motion at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) as the campus gears up for its annual SummerFest in collaboration with the San Bernardino Symphony. Now in its third year, this unique partnership continues to draw crowds with its unforgettable Independence Day celebration.

Since its inception in 2022, SummerFest has grown into a cherished tradition, attracting thousands of visitors to the SBVC campus for an evening of fun, food, face-painting, music and fireworks. The college is proud to showcase its campus during the event and will offer information about applying and signing up for classes.

This year's SummerFest is scheduled for July 6 and will take place at the SBVC football stadium from 5-9 p.m. The “America, the Beautiful” concert, conducted by Maestro Anthony Parnther, will feature performances by internationally renowned musicians and vocalists. The evening will also include an ambitious attempt to break the world record for the largest ensemble of Piccolo players performing "The Stars and Stripes Forever."

The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. and will include patriotic tunes and musical selections from three beloved American productions: “The Wizard of Oz,” “Wicked” and “The Wiz.” The show will wrap up with Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" and a synchronized fireworks display.

For this event, attendees can purchase assigned table seating for $30-100 per seat or general admission tickets for $10. Tickets are required to enter the stadium for the concert but not for access to market vendors, food, activities or fireworks viewing.

Tickets are available for purchase on the San Bernardino Symphony website at sanbernardinosymphony.org/july-6th-concert.

Free parking will be available in all lots on SBVC’s campus.
