Nearly 200 Hispanic, Chicano, and Latino graduates were honored during the Nuestra Graduación on May 19. This annual event is hosted by SBVC's Latino Faculty, Staff & Administrators Association as a way to celebrate the students and all of their achievements. Many of the graduates are first-generation students, and each one received a special stole to wear during commencement. The previous 19 keynote speakers to appear at the event were invited back to share their wisdom with graduates at this year’s event.
