The annual Black Graduate Recognition Celebration on May 17 was a night filled with appreciation for the culture, heritage, and accomplishments of African-American students at SBVC. This annual event is sponsored by the Black Faculty & Staff Association, and aims to enhance the educational experience of African Americans and other students by conducting outreach activities and cultural events. Each student who attended the event received a colorful kente stole to wear during commencement and celebrate their culture.
