Annual Speech Tournament

The San Bernardino Valley College Speech Department hosts an annual speech tournament with participants from both Valley College and Crafton Hills College. The Speech Tournament has occurred continuously for 21 years. Students in speech classes from both schools compete in a tournament-style forum where they present informative speeches. It's a fun and exciting event to participate in or attend!

The Annual Speech Tournament for Fall occurs on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 3-6 pm.

Requirements for entry to the Speech Tournament:

  • The entrant must be a student in a Public Speaking course during the current semester.
  • The speech must be on an informative topic.
  • The time limit for the speech is 5-7 minutes.
  • Visual Aids are necessary.
