SBVC Graduates Psychiatric Tech Class of Fall 2017

On December 14, fourteen brand-new graduates of San Bernardino Valley College's psychiatric technology program walked across the stage to receive their diplomas and celebrate completion of one of the most renowned psych tech programs in the state.
SBVC Reaches Out to Neighboring Cities in 2nd Annual Day of Service

On December 2, around 100 San Bernardino Valley College students, staff and administrators participated in the college's second annual "Day of Service," an extensive volunteer effort led by President Diana Z. Rodriguez to distribute information about SBVC programs into the local community. Organized into four teams that targeted residential communities in Muscoy, Rialto, Colton and Highland, the three-hour volunteer effort distributed close to 4,000 packets of information to neighboring residents.
SBVC Adopts Urbita Elementary School

On December 6, San Bernardino Valley College officially adopted Urbita Elementary School during a special ceremony on campus. It was the first time a San Bernardino City Unified School District school adoption was held away from the school's campus, with all 400 of Urbita's students riding the bus to SBVC, where they were treated to a ballet and short theater production.
WinterFest 2017 Brings Delicious Food & Holiday Cheer to Campus

On December 5, hundreds of SBVC students, staff and community members braved the unusually cold weather to gather at SBVC for the college's second annual WinterFest: a campus-wide holiday celebration that showcased many of SBVC's degree programs to the public in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere.
High School Students First to Earn Job Readiness Certificates

Fifteen medical assistant students at Cajon High School are among the first in the Inland Empire to earn a workforce readiness certificate after completing a 72-hour concurrent enrollment course through San Bernardino Valley College. The workforce readiness certificate program, designed by San Bernardino Community College District's Office Economic Development and Corporate Training, is the first of its kind to be offered tuition-free at an Inland Empire high school.
SBVC Soccer Teams Win Top State and National Honors

In November 2017, SBVC's women's soccer team was ranked 12th in the nation. In December, three San Bernardino Valley College soccer players earned All-State honors as voted on by members of the California Community College Soccer Coaches Association.
SBVC Welding Department Wins Equipment Valued at $6,900

The Welding Program at San Bernardino Valley College recently won $6,000 worth of equipment and supplies after being chosen as a semi-finalist in the "ESAB WeldItForward" student contest.
Jeff Klug Retires as SBVC Police Director

San Bernardino Valley College Police Academy Director Jeff Klug has retired from the program after 29 years on campus.
