  • The DE-LEC part of this class requires 3 hours per week of online instruction.
  • This is a fully online class. Students will be required to complete online instructional content via Canvas. This class could offer some live online meetings, but students will have options on accessing that content. Students should log on to Canvas the first day of class to access classes. This course is fully online with no required meetings via face-to-face of zoom. This course is a study of dying, death, and bereavement. Medical, ethical, legal, philosophical, and religious considerations will be explored. This course has weekly required readings and project-based assignments that ask for in-depth analysis and critical thinking. Students will also be tasked with participating in online discussions. The approaches are feminist theory, insight comes from psychological texts and theories and from theoretical anthropological field studies, as well as cultural studies and sociology studies (This is also offered as RELIG 180).
