Financial Aid Starts with a FREE Application
Ready to get help paying for college? Most types of financial aid start with completing either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act (for dreamers).
Things to Remember about Applying:
- You must apply for financial aid every academic year.
- The earlier you apply, the better! The priority deadline is March 2nd
- SBVC's school code is #001272. You'll need that to apply!
Steps to Apply
If you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, complete the FAFSA.

Check your Student Email account and/or Financial Aid Self-Service for any required documents that may need to be submitted to the Financial Aid Office.
Students must submit all required documentation to the SBVC Financial Aid Office
as soon as possible. Most required documents can be downloaded online by clicking
on the Online Forms. All student files are processed, in date order, based on the date the last document
was received; processing may take a minimum of 8-10 weeks.
Students must select a refund preference with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology
