Welcome to the online world!!

Before the semester begins, visit this website from the University of Houston and take the self assessment for online readiness.

After taking that self assessment, you may decide that online classes are not for you and that you should not enroll or drop this class. That is fine. No problem. But if you do decide to remain in the class, please remember your scores for that quiz. They will be the basis for one of the assignments in the first week of the semester.  (If you get a score of zero on the assessment, that is a browser issue......not your real score.  Switch to another web browser and take the assessment and you should be able to get a real score.)

Our class will be available in Blackboard after May 23, but the summer semester actually begins on May 27. Students who succeed in the online format usually make immediate contact with the class.   And based on my 18 years experience teaching online classes......if you do not do the tasks assigned in the first week, your odds of completing the class successfully are very, very, very low.  "Find out what you have to do; decide to do it; and then do it."

The motto for all my online classes is: Stamina! And Quality!! Dr. Jackson (aka jjjj)
