- Participation in this class will consist of online interaction. Students must have access to a computer that has a reliable internet connection. Students should access http://online.valleycollege.edu during the week prior to the semester start date. All information regarding this class, including course-specific technology requirements, will be found on that webpage. The course may not be accessible to students until the first day of the class, January 13, 2014.

If you have come this far you obviously are enrolled in the course. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me prior to the start of the semester at the email address given. For public speaking PUBLIC SPEAKING, The Evolving Art. Stephanie Coopman, Wadsworth/Cengage Learning, publishers. You also have the option of going to www.cengagebrain.com and buying their E book. The choice is yours. If you are enrolled in Speech 135 Mass Media the text you will be using is MEDIA/IMPACT an introduction to mass media. Shirley Biagi is the author. Wadsworth?Cengage Learning publishers. 10th Edition.
If you go the CengageBrain.com you can rent the book at a reduced rate. The published will send you the book to your home. You will have to be able to provide them with a credit card for rental. You also can use the E book format if that works for you. PLEASE NOTE-It is vital that you start the semester with the book as both of these courses are 8 weeks and you will be so far behind if you do not have the book at the start. I have several books for each class on reserve but you have to use them in the library. I look forward to dealing with you in the New Year. Make sure you are buying COURSEMATE as that includes the E book.
NOTE---Summer media book is the 10th Edition of Biagi.
